cave painting

scanned painting
I used splotchy gouache to resemble a rustic cave painted aesthetic
bristley paintbrush and minimal water
I also started putting water on areas of paint and daubing it with tissue to make a patchy effect similar to the stained pigment on the bone bowls

Adjusted levels in photoshop and i added highlights and shadows with a lightly textured digital brush

pastel drawings of rocks
they looked rather undefined and potato-like

so I added angular lines in a scratchy photoshop brush
they were black lines initially but that looked too harsh so I made them lighter colours that compliment the rock colours

same method as previous

with levels and added digital texture

im going for the whole combining analogue and digital to match the subject material of the image, and the debate of my essay

the things assembled so far
they look rather plopped onto the page synthetically at the minute
hopefully i can solve this by adding shadows when everythings arranged and complete
we'll see
