It seems the tools were basically the same for a really long time
I mean obviously they changed but there weren't any ground breaking inventions really
until premixed tube paint came into play later on, victorian times and whatnot
There's limited information that I have found on tools of this period, but I realise there are a lot of paintings of painters painting which will show the tools they used.
